As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:

* Installation, troubleshooting and support of Microsoft, UNIX and LINUX operating systems
* Installation, troubleshooting and support of Network environments
* Installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting and support of various hardware and software, including Cogent applications
* Providing technical assistance to other support engineers and customers
* The selected candidate must be able to provide all aspects of operations support, preventive maintenance, remedial maintenance, management of spares inventory, performance of system backups and regular status reporting

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree
* 3 years Customer Support Experience

Preferred Qualifications

*
UNIX / Linux installation and administration

*
Microsoft 2003/XP/2008, Microsoft Advanced Server, installation and administration

*
TCP/IP network troubleshooting and support in a distributed UNIX and Microsoft Client/server environment

*
RDBMS installation and administration with Oracle and MySQL databases

*
Candidates must have high level of energy, self motivation and a strong customer support focus

*
Must be a detailed oriented team player that can work with little supervision

*
Must be able to work under pressure, as service calls must be responded to promptly, diagnosed quickly, and fixed within a short time frame

*
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, other language abilities are a plus

*
Must have excellent time management skills

*
Must have the ability to understand user problems and the ability to explain technical fixes in an understandable manner to users

*
Must have the ability to quickly troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis

*
Candidates must be able to occasionally move and lift heavy computer equipment

*
Be able to travel 10%
