Working as an Area Sales Manager, you will manage a sales team of 8-12 account executives to achieve set objectives.  A key component of the position will require you to assist account executives with account retention, revenue growth and finding new customers.  
 
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop the sales team, management team and inter-departmental groups
  • Assist account executives in promoting all of our products by insuring the availability of appropriate sales tools and techniques and facilitate timely, effective communication
  • Maintain relations with customers and resolve customer concerns
  • Must protect and increase annual company revenue
  • Control sales force work flow by adjusting account assignments
  • Interact with sales operations, customer service, commissions, and publishing
  • Manage credit status on accounts utilizing the Credit team
  • Plan and implement campaign strategies, sales incentives, training, and canvas reviews

  • Skills / Requirements


     

    Required Qualifications:


    • One or more years successful sales experience, preferrably with advertising agencies

    • Strong sales, leadership, organizing and planning skills to lead team

    • Ability to influence/persuade others

    • Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)


    Desired Qualifications:


    • Six months or more years experience selling internet/advertising

    • Two or more years working in a commission sales environment

    • One or more years sales training experience

    • Intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
