Position Summary: This position assists in all aspects of the athletics communication/external relations department. Duties include but are not limited to: writing and editing press releases, game stories, game notes and feature articles; producing sports program publications including media guides and game programs; compiling and distributing statistics; maintaining athletic department web site. The selected candidates will work in the Athletics Communication office working with the staff on day-to-day tasks including, but not limited to: clipping newspaper articles for archives, historical and statistical research, and photo management. Students workers will also work at multiple home University of Dayton events including but not limited to: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball. Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency in desktop publishing software (Adobe Photoshop/InDesign); strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills; graphic design background; strength in video editing; knowledge of TAS Statcrew systems. Must be in good academic standing in the University. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Multi-Cultural Experience: Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of and sensitivity to a Catholic Marianist work environment.
