Manages 10 Community Lending Mortgage Loan Officers throughout Huntington?s footprint. Manages all aspects of the Community Lending retail mortgage line of business supporting Retail banking offices as well as outside mortgage sales sources.

Detailed Description

Manages 10 Community Lending Mortgage Loan Officers throughout Huntington?s footprint.

Manages all aspects of the Community Lending retail mortgage line of business supporting Retail banking offices as well as outside mortgage sales sources.

Meets with religious and community groups to ascertain lending needs relative to low income borrowers.

Organizes and presents programs for the underserved housing market. Participates in developing loan programs that better meet the needs of low income borrowers. Works in concert with the bank CRA leadership team.

Handles customer issues, new business development, products, policies, budgeting, human resources issues, sales coaching and administration.

Manages and coaches team to exceed set production goals.

Partners with retail branches to develop relationships and achieve cross sell goals.

Achieves management objectives for profit, volume, quality, compliance, cross sells, etc.

Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Follows, or in some cases, establishes as required, effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree.

Minimum 5-7 years? experience in CRA lending and management.

Minimum 5 years mortgage banking experience including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac required.

Other Traits, Characteristics and Experience Required:

Proven ability to meet sales goals and quotas required.

Proven experience in developing and maintaining positive inter-departmental and community relationships.

Proven leadership skills including exhibiting Huntington?s core values.

The selected individual must have strong team-building skills, networking and strong recruitment skills as well as experience coaching and developing direct reports.
