This R&D Entry Level Engineer position will install, operate and troubleshoot custom designed pilot plant equipment for a novel process for new carbon and graphite materials. The candidate will analyze test results and make recommendations. In addition, the candidate will assist in plant trials at our manufacturing facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs, operates, and troubleshoots pilot plant equipment
Assists with the design and fabrication of new equipment
Fabricates prototypes of new products
Arranges for testing of prototypes, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for further development
May train and/or direct other employees in performing technical tasks
Position is located at the Parma, OH R&D Center with the potential to relocate to another company site in the future
Domestic travel is required
Qualifications:
BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
0-2 years experience in pilot plant, laboratory, or plant environment
Proficient in computer software applications
Demonstrated good mechanical skills
Working knowledge of statistical principles, experimental design and data analysis
Ability to lead or assist in planning and performing experiments with minimal supervision
