Job: Environmental Scientist 1

Jobing Description

ARCADIS is seeking a detail oriented, well organized, dependable and experienced Environmental Scientist. This full-time position will involve providing task level support to project and task managers for implementation of field programs, regulatory analysis and permitting, remedial system support and construction oversight, and preparation of project deliverables.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing support during site characterization.
* Assistance with office tasks such as compilation of tables, preparation of technical reports and evaluation of chemical and field data.
* Analyzing analytical and system performance data; and making recommendations.
* Preparing technical reports.
* Field activities typically include installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, collection of field samples (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, air), remediation pilot testing, construction oversight, and operation and maintenance of remediation equipment.
* Project work will entail supporting a variety of a portfolio petroleum/UST sites and industrial facilities with site investigation and remediation.

Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: 1
* Education required: BS Environmental Sciences or related
* Registrations/Certifications required: 40-hr HAZWOPER
* Skills required: At least 1 year of Ohio BUSTR experience and strict adherence to health and safety procedures.

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Education preferred: MS Environmental Sciences
* Registrations/Certifications preferred:
* Years experience preferred: 1-3

* This position does requires travel. Travel amount is 50% to 75%
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
* This position does not manage others.
