Summary
To support the sales effort by providing contract/bidding and estimating services to the appropriate customers; field personnel and management in an accurate and timely fashion, assuring all customer requirements are met, within corporate profitability objectives.

Essential Job Functions
Responsible for reviewing, detailing and the preparation of assigned bids for Healthcare.
Review and approve contracts for acceptability to STERIS, including pricing; delivery; terms; conditions; taxes; federal, state and local laws; STERIS s Policies and Procedures and resolves discrepancies.
Evaluate assigned bid requests for adequate information. Obtain added details from sales people, customer, architect, consultant as required and process within established time-frame.
Establish bid levels in conjunction with Sales Directors, Region Managers and Vice President, Sales.
Interface with various departments within STERIS to ensure completion of bid to meet customers due date. Departments include, but are not limited to, Market Managers, Production, Credit and Collection, Corporate, Manufacturing, Sales, Accounting, Engineering, Legal etc.
Review bids for application of pre-negotiated pricing policies (i.e., National Accounts, government contract).
Review Contract Terms and Conditions to help identify questionable terms /conditions and liaise with the sales team and legal representation for clarification.
Complete requestors form of proposal with all appropriate information, secure proper signatures and transmit to the customer.
Assemble the necessary number of binders for submission to customers, to include literature, technical data, brochures, drawings, etc.
Maintain current and historical records regarding pricing, costs, technical data, sales catalogs, contract price books, etc.
Interface directly with the customer in support of STERIS s sales effort, when required.
Maintain a tracking system of all bid activity, to include award results.
Manage documents within a shared drive to ensure visibility.
Access the Internet for formal bids relating to Healthcare facilities.

Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

Must be bilingual in English and French.
At least five (5) years of contract administration experience including working with bid submittals.
Demonstrated knowledge of pricing concepts (mark-ups, margins, etc.). Knowledge of STERIS/Amsco product line desirable.
Paralegal experience a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Minimum of 3 years experience.
Demonstrated skills in creating and working with spreadsheets, creating formulas, conducting analysis, determining margins and mark-ups.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work well under strict deadlines.
Must be organized to handle many jobs in various phases of completion.
Must be able to work and communicate with individuals at various levels of the organization.
Possess and exhibit advanced problem-solving skills and resource allocation ingenuity.
Strong analytic skills (data gathering, analysis)
Detail oriented.
