We are seeking to hire an experienced Human Resources Consultant to support our Customer Relationship Management group within our Personal Lines department. This senior level position will require a wide range of responsibilities including working closely with business area managers on employee related issues that affect business results and evaluate data to determine appropriate solutions.

Additional duties include:

* Administration of HR programs, policies and procedures.
* Counsel managers and employees on a variety of situations, including training needs, performance management, career counseling including coaching and mentoring.
* Works with managers to create and maintain a positive work environment, serve as an employee advocate, conduct investigations and recommends corrective actions, processes terminations and conducts exit interviews, leave of absence and attendance issues and workers compensation issues.
* Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations, assist in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
* Work with corporate HR functional areas including benefits, compensation and recruiting to address related issues and develop appropriate solutions.
* Conduct employee focus group meetings.
* Maintain awareness of various HR trends within area of responsibility by preparing and analyzing reports of employee data including. Summarize findings, develops recommendations and presents recommendations to managers and works to develop action plans for addressing identified HR issues.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

* Bachelors degree in Human Resources or relevant field of study, or Associates degree in Human Resources or relevant field of study and 7 plus years of prior work experience in a functional area of Human Resources
* 5 to 7 years of experience in Human Resources
* Solid understanding of Human Resource procedures, principles and concepts including employee relations, training & development, performance management, compensation & benefits and safety.
* Solid understanding of Federal and state regulations governing employment including: Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Family Medical Leave Act.
* Experience Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to prepare reports and conduct presentations.
* The ability to calmly facilitate situations involving conflict and stress, while maintaining confidential information.
* Limited travel may be required.
