Job: MGR PURCHASING - PRO SERVICES

Jobing Description

Responsible for implementing and maintaining strategic sourcing strategies for purchasing Professional Services which include, but are not limited to, accountants, architects, attorneys at law, physicians, professional engineers, construction project managers, consultants, surveyors and appraisers for assigned departments and satellite locations; functioning within the established policies and procedures set up by the MetroHealth System. Negotiates the optimal price and terms for the hospital. Performs special projects as assigned and upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

Job Qualifications (required):
Bachelor s Degree
Seven years of professional purchasing experience or MBA with two-three years experience working on Strategic Sourcing Projects
Experienced in the use of MS Office software packages
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

Job Qualifications (preferred):
Master s Degree
Three to five years of experience in a hospital or government/public purchasing environment
Three to five years of buying experience in a large purchasing services environment
