Nurse Practitioner - Greater Akron Psychiatry - AGP

Working in collaboration with the office manager and under the direct supervision of the collaborating physician(s), the Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist provides psychiatric care to patients, acting as an assistant to physicians in the office and following established standards and practices. The nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacologic management to a panel of his or her own patients in a relatively autonomous fashion, and also provides psychiatric consultation to patients throughout the hospital under the direction of the consultation liaison psychiatrist

Qualifications: BSN Master's degree required. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Current license to practice in the State of Ohio. Certificate of Authority to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, or active pursuit of same. Good written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
