University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center is named in honor of Monte Ahuja, former Chairman, UH Board of Directors, and his family, whose generous donation is helping to fulfill the promise of the UH Difference.

This health care campus will include both a hospital and medical office building serving Cleveland?s eastern and southeastern suburban populations. Primary and secondary care services will include general medical and surgical care, minimally invasive surgery, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, pediatric outpatient surgery, state-of-the-art diagnostics and emergency care for adults and children, with tertiary care support from UH Case Medical Center.

The first phase of the UH Ahuja Medical Center is a 144-bed hospital and a 60,000-square-foot medical office building. As patient volume increases, second and third phases may be added, with the hospital ultimately growing to 600 beds.

The hospital complex, designed with input from physicians, nurses, patients, employees and community leaders, ensures a patient-, family and staff-friendly healing environment for the delivery of personalized, efficient services. The structure will feature eco-friendly materials and processes that minimize energy costs and impact on the environment. As part of the environmentally sensitive design, grounds surrounding the UH Ahuja Medical Center will feature bioswales to filter, collect and redistribute water to the site.

Attend to Ahuja visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. Essential Duties: Answer telephone, screen and direct/relay calls. Provide organizational information to callers as needed. Greet persons entering organization in a friendly and helpful manner. Provide assistance and direction to patients, customers, vendors and employees at main entrances. Provide (walking) escort assistance to persons as needed. Handle queries from the public and customers. Perform general administrative and clerical support duties as needed. Receive and sort deliveries as needed. Provides age specific assistance/services to patients and families of toddlers through geriatrics as needed.

Position Requirements:

One to twoyears related experience as secretary/ receptionist required. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good problem solving ability. Notable client service, communication, and relationship building skills required. Must have strong verbal communication skills. Must be able to maintain composure during stressful situations. Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) required.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Typing 30 wpm

This position is PRN, on an as-needed basis.
