WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION?
Our Central Property Claim Region has an opening for an Outside Claim Representative handling Personal and Commercial Lines Property Claims to service the Cincinnati, OH or Lexington, KY area. In this position you will plan, recommend, reserve and execute the investigation, valuation, disposition and settlement of claims in a manner consistent with corporate claim settlement policies and procedures, as well as statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements. You will achieve fair, equitable and timely claim dispositions that the customer understands, properly assess the indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims and develop aggressive file strategies. Properly investigate all exposures and/or perils to determine cause, scope, and cost of damage and/or determine liability and extent of damages. Perform on-site inspections and estimation of damages. Guide policyholder through the claim process to ensure understanding. Create high level of policyholder satisfaction by complying with standards for timeliness of contact, follow-up, payments, and Unfair Claim Practice Act.

This position reports in to the Personal and Commercial Lines Property Team located in our claims office in Aurora, IL. We offer state-of-the-art technology. This positions works remote from your Home Office in the Cincinnati, OH or Lexington, KY Area.
Qualifications
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* 3+ years prior Outside Property Claims Handling experience
* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
* Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
* Excellent planning and organization skills are required
* Auto driver's license and safe driving record
* Demonstrated proficiency in construction estimating and repair techniques
* Computer literate and strong keyboard skills
* Strong spoken communication skills including an excellent phone manner
* Strong negotiation and settlement skills
* Ability to work independently
* Xactimate Experience a plus
