Summary: Responsible for Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming, inspection and training for parts/products manufactured or processed by private companies for government use to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Coordinate execute all CMM programming requirements
Assist in root cause investigation of supplier defective product and in-house product non-conformances
Create reports and maintain records of supplier non-conformance notices and corrective action reports and distribute reports to appropriate personnel
Perform first article inspections and measurement requests as needed
Create and distribute internal quality alerts, notify personnel of quality related issues and maintain associated records
Perform part/product inspection requirements using various quality inspection tools and gages
Other Responsibilities:
Sustain ISO 9000 & 14001 Standards that are applicable to job function
Participates in CPI activities
Collects data for predetermined metrics
Participates in cross training
Apply 6S in area work area
Maintain and log all Scrap, First Article Inspections, and Incoming Inspections
All other quality duties as assigned
Qualifications
Process Owner's Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Associate's Degree of Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical Technology background is a plus.
Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:
Blue print knowledge required
Experience with Window, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook software programs required
Experience working with JD Edwards ERP system preferred
5 years related experience preferred
CMM or CNC programming and operation preferred
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
