About the Business Line Environment Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
Job Description

Position:

Working as part of an established National Water Permitting team, you will take on a key position, where you will provide technical and professional input into delivering specialty projects across the business related to permitting/licensing under CWA, NEPA, FERC and NRC for our clients.

As a Senior Scientist you will provide project/technical direction on projects and act in lead roles as part of a multidiciplinary team participation on projects across AECOM.

Responsibilities:

Business development for clients with environmental permitting requests
Execute technical facets of projects
Proposal preparation
Client and regulatory contact
Technical writing and editing
Technical direction to managers and staff

Qualifications:

BS Required, MS is a plus (Discipline preferred - Ecological Sciences)

OSHA 40 Hr Hazwoper

Professional Wetland Scientist is a plus
15+ Years of industry experience

Strong technical background and experience in licensing /permitting, local to OH, MI,IN, IL regulatory expertise, and experience with agency/public interaction and negotiation for industrial systems and processes.

Experience with and permitting in the utility industry

Preparation/evaluations of environmental permits from technial and biological basis

Experience on both the water and natural resources sides of the business

Demonstrate prior experience with Section 316(a) and (b) implementation

Excellent oral/written communications and interpersonal skills

Strong initiative, motivation, and multi-tasking problem-solving skills
