Job Summary/Basic Function:

Oversees and operates the Theatre Arts/Music box office. Sells tickets for Creative Arts Center performances.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree and one year of experience; or an Associate s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma and four years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills (both written and oral); ability to deal with time pressure and to meet deadlines; ability to work independently; ability to work with numbers and to balance accounts.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

15% Sells season subscriptions for WSU Theatre productions
40% Service season subscription accounts including phone, mail and in-person reservations
30% Sells single tickets for all WSU Theatre/Music performances
5% Maintains records of customer sales and scholarship donations. Reconciles monthly Banner accounts.
5% Responsible for mailing tickets and maintaining patron mailing list.
5% Prepares all box office forms.

* The Wright State University Theatre will be changing to a computerized ticket system. Responsibilities will include using hard ticket and computerized ticket sales.

Length of contract March 1, 2012 June 30, 2013 contingent upon funding.
