Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the Domestic Halon Buying Team in processes of procuring 1301 daily.

A-Gas in Bowling Green Ohio

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and friendly service to customers, whether face to face, written or verbal, in order to promote A-Gas in the market place and ensure customers enjoying doing business with A-Gas
  • Process 1301 orders from the Buy Team to ensure that customer order requirements are met efficiently and accurately
  • Creating and processing purchase orders, bill of ladings, Logistics requirements, Tracking of delivery to A-Gas site, on time payments to customers
  • Ensure customer complaints are processed in accordance with the quality assurance procedure and necessary action is taken, where required, to rectify the situation
  • Co-ordinate with the Finance Team on customer credit limits, payment terms and account status, and where necessary, request upfront payment before processing orders, to ensure we capture every opportunity
  • Provide support to other team members in the completion of daily tasks and during times of absence, to ensure full functionality of the customer service team at all times
  • Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health & safety
  • Other tasks as assigned

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Essential
    • High School Diploma required, some college preferred
    • Previous experience working in finance and procurement roles
    • A sound understanding of and experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook


  • Desirable
    • Experience in Sage ERP systems
    • Experience in logistics
